WHAT IS SPORTING CLAYS

Think of it as golf with a shotgun.  Guests move through an outdoor course in small squads, stopping at different stations to shoot clay targets presented from a variety of angles.

It's competitive, social, and approachable for first-time shooters.  No previous shooting experience or personal equipment is required.

NO SHOOTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Most guests will be trying sporting clays for the first time. Beginner instructors can be arranged for any group that wants extra guidance with safe gun handling, proper stance, and the fundamentals. Rental guns and ammunition are included, so guests only need to arrive ready for the day.

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE

  • ARRIVAL & MORNING ROUND

    8:00 AM - Registration, coffee, and breakfast

    9:00 AM - First shotgun start

    11:30 AM - Morning round concludes

  • LUNCH & RESET

    12:00 PM - Lunch between rotations. Food is selected and priced around your group's preferences.

  • AFTERNOON & AWARDS

    1:00 PM - Second rotation for events with more than 40 shooters

    3:00 PM - Scoring, awards, and prizes

EVENT PRICING

Shooting package: $115 per shooter, plus tax and tips. Includes 100 targets, ammunition, a shared cart, and a rental shotgun.

Top Shot Events management fee:

  • 30-40  shooters - $2,500 
  • 41-60  shooters - $3,250
  • 61-80  shooters - $4,000

Optional beginner instruction is $100 per group. Food, tent, event insurance, additional workers, prizes, and outside vendor costs are quoted separately.

A 50% club deposit is required to reserve the date. Events require a minimum of 30 shooters, with a maximum of 40 shooters per rotation.

Planning for more than 80 shooters? We can explore alternate club locations and custom event formats based on your group size and venue availability.

Do guests need shooting experience?

No. Most guests are first-time shooters. Rental guns and ammunition are included, and beginner instruction can be arranged for any group that wants additional guidance.

Where are the events held?

Our standard event package is based at Clove Spring Range in Wantage NJ. For larger groups or specific location needs, we can explore alternate clubs based on availability.

What happens if it rains?

Events are held rain or shine unless a rain date is selected in advance. Tent coverage can be arranged and quoted separately.

How is food handled?

Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages are selected in advance. Tent coverage can be arranged and quoted seperately.

How many shooters can attend?

Standard events accommodate 30-80 shooters, with a maximum of 40 shooters per rotation. Larger events may be possible using an alternate club and custom format.

How do we reserve a date?

Once the date and venue are confirmed a 50% club deposit is required to secure the reservation.

Can the event be customized?

Yes. Food, scheduling, awards, prizes, beginner instruction, tent coverage, and other vendor services can be tailored around your group.

What should guests wear or bring?

Guests should wear comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. A complete guest checklist and any required safety information will be provided before the event.

Is the event insurance included?

Event insurance is arranged for each event and quoted separately based on the venue, group size, and event details.
